The Loud House: Season 6: Episode 1: Present Danger/Stressed for the Part

 The Loud House  Nickelodeon

   Episode 1a: Present Danger

So, I have the theory that season 5 and 6 and up (yeah) are contiguous like seasons 1-4 were meaning they kind of inter lock with each other since this isn't a linear story show. Season 5 was promoted as the age up season, but only Lana, Lola, and Lisa were stated , in series, to have a different age than they did in seasons 1-4. Lincoln was still 11, to me until otherwise mentioned and now, we get that otherwise mentioned.

He's having his birthday party and it's in "David Steele" style, the James Bond like spy series he's been into since the start of season 5, if you've been paying attention. Lincoln also talks to us again. Also Lynn Sr.'s father has showed up as well.  There's a special gift that the grandfather has brought but it has gone missing. (oh no)

Lincoln goes on the search, playing as David Steele and he goes to Gus to look at the security cameras to see who stole the gift. He gets three suspects: Flip, Chandler, and Scoots.  So now are getting a "Casino Royale" reference and Lincoln is offering all is presents in  a game of go fish to see if any of these three stole his present. (Yeah ,that makes sense)  Lincoln wins and he has them empty out their pockets they didn't steal the gift.

Then a guy with a cat taunts Lincoln,( holy Crap it's claw from Inspector Gadget!)  Later, Lincoln gets some cool gadgets from Lisa.  The "villain" taunts Lincoln and Lisa tracks the voice to the construction yard.  Lincoln goes on a chase  and we get what could have been the Nick.com flash game from 2004 , if we still had those. (I'm sad, I'm going home)

The villain was Rusty. That was a nice play we saw him earlier saying her forgot Lincoln's gift and then disappear. He planned this for months, genius. The gift happens to be David Steele episode issue 1.

This was  a fun episode, I loved the mystery, and it was a nice twist to see who the villain was and only noticeable who it might be from remembering a little throw away moment. The episode was a good showing for Lincoln and the better of this show's birthday episodes. There's a lot of fun to be had here and it's a different outing to other Loud House episodes and seems to be love letter to how their past season as well. Good work I give it 9/10.

 More after the Jump

Episode 1b: Stressed for the Part

This episode is about Luan, she goes to DairyLand to see Benny who has news for her. (He did text her, he could have just told her on the phone)  Anyway, the news is about a play that Luan wants to audition for. Luan auditions for the part and gets it.  She wants to tell her teacher ,Mrs. Bernardo, who by chance also audition for the part and didn't get it. (oh)

Benny tells Luan that she should have told the woman, but then we wouldn't have whatever this plot happens to be doing.  She realizes she left her script on the school theater, so she and Benny sneak to get it, instead of you know, just going to get it. (would be easier)

She's able to get the script back after some trial and error and now back to the weird cow themed play.  Now the plot turns into Luan trying to avoid the teacher at the park where the play is being held because she thinks the teacher will go insane. (what?)    Luan does a few rides with the woman and she has to get back to the play but the teacher wants more Luan time. Finally, she tells her the truth. (thank you that was annoying)

Mrs. Bernardo isn't mad (because duh) and the teacher tells her to get to the stage and she runs her literally to the play.  Now it's an action scene and she ends up there and thanks the Sherryl getting funnel cake ear, Mrs. Bernardo also gets a part after all. Yay.

It was an alright episode, actually happens to be the best outing for Benny, a character that just seemed to be there in other episodes gets something here.  This is more me thing , but I was annoyed that it was just a long stretch of Luan not telling the teacher in the first place, but that doesn't mean it was bad episode, more just my patience might not be in the place for it, this time I'm writing this post. (That happens)  The episode is pretty alright 7.5/10.

That's it for now, tune in next time, when we celebrate your birthday yay!
